Setting Prisoners Free

The title pretty well says it. This is part of our work on earth whether or not we know it.

There are -many- prisons, many jails, many and varied sources of our own (and societal) captivity.

Jesus said “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free”. He further said “Let the one without sin cast the first stone”… and we know that mercy and grace are often something we wish for ourselves and our own but not always for others outside our immediate circle.

I love what CCO does and how they go about it, one day at a time, patiently. Cornerstone Community Outreach services are essential in a tough and sometimes not-too-kind society that would rather drive by (“drive-by” from a very different perspective… ‘eh?)  than stop, sort out facts, get to know people by name and truly dig in to help in a time when so many are putting up walls and building moats, focused on personal kingdom building rather than getting involved in the hard and sometimes painful process of healing.

Jesus said He did not come for the well but for the sick. What are you and I saying?

I’d like to direct folks to the following video clips and simply ask for your prayers for CCO staff and residents.

This is not about debating, it’s about offering life and alternatives that bear fruit as opposed to criticism and hardening our hearts.

I created this short link, it’s safe:
